~How long have you been writing?

My debut novelette was published in the summer of 2014. However I have been an avid writer all my life. ~

~What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to write in my spare time. I also like to hike and spend time with my grandchild. I do a bit of gardening when the seasons permit as well.

~If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

I would love to be a bird. To see the word from a birds eye view any time I wanted to would be wonderful…not to mention how easy it would be to get to work if I could fly!

~When you’re writing, what keeps you focused?

Music in the background. I always write with music on. Depending upon what I am writing the choice in what kind of music will vary,

~What genre are your books and how did you come up with the ideas them?

The Orchid Keeper novelette is fantasy and therefore all upcoming books in that series will be fantasy as well. I also write horror, and recently had a short story published in an anthology.

~What books do you currently have published and what are you currently working on?

I have The Orchid Keeper published and The December Awethology: Dark Volume by The #Awethors has my short story , Jingle Jars ,featured in it.
I am currently working on The Fading Light, book two in the series and I am putting together an anthology of my short stories. It will be called Chills and Thrills : A Collection of Horror and Fantasy by Jennifer Deese. I hope to have both done by the end of January 2016.

~Do you have any upcoming releases?

Not yet, just my works in progress.

~Out of your books, which one would be your favorite?

The Orchid Keeper will always be my baby however, I am beginning to think that book two, The Fading Light is going to be my favorite. It is far more epic, has more of Osipias history , love story, love lost, new characters and a big battle. It is turning out to be significantly longer than the first book .

~What are your plans for the future you and your books? Any goals?

My plans are to finish the series, keep working with The Awethors group and keep writing !

~Do you think you’ll continue to write the same genre or will you test the waters with something new?

I will more than likely stay with Fantasy, horror/thriller. Its my thing.

Do you write yourself or other people you know/come into contact with into your books?

I pull pieces of people into my books. No one character is just one person I know but they are a eclectic mix of many people I have come across in life.

If you could be a character(s) from your books do you think you’re more like and why?

Sol, The Orchid Keeper. He is in tune with nature and very pantheistic, so am I.

What books/authors got you interested in writing?

I love Diana Gabaldon, Richard Bach, and so many others have influenced me. If I listed them all I would be here with this one question for hours.

Do you read any other types of genre’s? If so, who/what is your favorite?

I have read everything, but I am always a huge fan of fantasy.

~What is your advice for any authors who are planning/struggling to write/finish their book?

Keep writing…aways keep writing. Keep submitting and keep writing.
